Brandi Jackson M.D. is a practicing Community Psychiatrist and C-Level Healthcare Executive. Dr. Brandi is currently serving as The Chief Behavioral Health Officer of a large, multi-site Federally Qualified Healthcare Center in Chicago.
Dr. Brandi founded the Institute for Racial & Cultural Healing with the intention to offer executive-level consulting to visionary leaders and teams.
An Ohio native, Dr. Brandi received her Bachelors of Science degree from Cornell University, where she majored in human development and minored in biology.
Dr. Brandi completed all of her medical training in the city of Chicago. She received her medical doctorate from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois Health and Hospital System. Dr. Brandi has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2019.
Dr. Brandi’s expertise spans the fields of mental health/ serious mental illness, executive administration, and visionary leadership. Dr. Brandi has dedicated her life to assisting in the healing of herself and fellow human beings. She specializes in helping executives cultivate joy and peace in the workplace.
Dr. Brandi has been featured on The Al Sharpton Show, NBC Nightly News, The Associated Press, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, The Chicago Tribune, Windy City Live and more.
Dr. Brandi is proud to reside in Chicago’s Bronzeville community with her plant-loving fiancé Eugeñio and their spirited dog Theo. Her hobbies include tarot reading, collecting crystals and designing home interiors.

Tavish McMillin MJur. (she/her) Chief Policy Advisor

Tavish has devoted her entire career working for non-profit organizations centered around Health & Human Rights.
Beginning 2017, Tavish accepted a position at a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center whose mission was to end health disparities that disproportionately affect the LGBTQ+ community.
Tavish has a vested interest in affirming health care for LGBTQ+ persons as she identifies as transgender. Most recently, Tavish serves as a Director of Behavioral Health Policy & Strategy.
Tavish earned her Bachelor’s Degree from National-Louis University in Behavioral Sciences, and her Masters of Jurisprudence from Loyola University Chicago - School of Law.
Tavish’s legal theory degree is concentrated in Health Law & Policy. Tavish academically studies the intersectional relationship between Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as it relates to Title IX of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - specifically in the context of patient care for the LGBTQ+ community.
Prior to joining The Institute for Racial & Cultural Healing, Tavish has also worked in multiple Law firms specializing in Civil Rights Law - specifically litigation against the City of Chicago Police Department, assisting with the defense of clients against excessive force and/or police brutality.
Tavish has also worked in Human Resources, where she has negotiated Collective Bargaining Agreements and assisted in the implementation of multiple Labor initiatives.
Lastly, Tavish has had the honor of serving on various governing boards for legal organizations including the Center for Disability & Elder Law in Chicago, Illinois.

Michael J., is a Director of Operations for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), that focuses on serving diverse populations in the heart of Chicago’s Englewood community.
Michael J., Is a biologist-turned public health expert, with over eight (8) years of experience, with a strong command of healthcare administration, policy, strategy, and operations.
Michael J., has focused his studies on the impact of healthcare access in vulnerable populations. His thesis on “The Association between Health Care Facility, Insurance Type, and Metabolic Syndrome” , identified the need for health care centers to push forward with eliminating barriers of care for populations in need.
He has used his knowledge and skill set to manage multi-million dollar accounts, ensuring proper fiscal responsibility. Managing over five departments with more than 45 team members his methods of employee engagement decreased turnover and improved morale.
An executive healthcare leadership professional with project and program management experience. He’s leveraged kaizen and lean management methodologies to champion change management and process improvement efforts, within fast-paced healthcare environments.
Accolades and Honors include being a Jackson Heart Study Scholar, Morehouse School of Medicine 2020 top 10 under 40 inaugural recipient, 2019 Chase L. Gayden Awardee, and being the first African American as Salem Health’s Administrative Fellow
